Brief description:

o To provide administrative support to Sandwell's Community Safety team, which has responsibility for overseeing and coordinating statutory boards such as the Safer Sandwell Partnership and its subgroups--borough tasking meetings. This will include minute-taking, meeting and event planning, collating information and reports, liaising with partners and colleagues, maintaining financial records, dealing with invoices, raising orders, and supporting the monitoring and delivery of externally funded projects.
o To act in a confidential manner regarding all information and documents received and circulated, taking account of the sensitivity of both the subject matter and the sensitivity of information to be managed in your role to the public and to the council and its partners.
You will be expected to select up to five essential requirements for the role; insert these below:
o Possess Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 qualification or equivalent, as a minimum.
o Experienced in using Microsoft packages, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Current, relevant experience in the use of up-to-date systems and software.
o Ability to coordinate meetings, taking minutes, sending out notes, and following up on actions in liaison with senior managers and partners.
o Experience dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information.
We are looking for a proactive individual who is happy working in a team/office environment and by themselves. Can problem solve or troubleshoot independently but ask for support where required.
