Description

Swindon Borough Council is currently recommissioning services to deliver housing and support to victims of domestic abuse. As part of this process, we would like to invite providers with experience and interest in delivering these services in Swindon to an event on Friday the 25th of September 2015 at 10am to be held in Swindon. The aim of the event will be to seek feedback on our proposals and help us understand what the market can offer ahead of a procurement process to take place later in the year. There will also be an opportunity for providers to meet individually with commissioners in the afternoon. The current contract ends on the 31st of March 2017 so we are looking for the new contract to start on 1st of April 2017. The initial contract term will be for three years with an option to extend for two years and then a further two years (3+2+2). We are intending to undertake an outcomes-based approach to our commissioning but this will include the management and delivery of a refuge, which is owned by an external company. A management agreement will be included as part of the tender process. We are interested in considering how other parts of the service can be delivered to meet the outcomes sought. If you are interested in attending this event, please email Ian Stenner at istenner@swindon.gov.uk by the noon on the 14th of August 2015 with the name of the attendee, organisation they represent and their email address. An invitation will then be sent with more information on the proposals and joining instructions.
