Description

Tenders are invited for the supply of music and media services at Oakley Wood Crematorium.

Increasingly the trend is for recorded music to be played during the funeral ceremony, this is often a mixture of traditional religious hymns and classical music, but may incorporate music from any genre. In addition, customers may ask for music to be edited, for example to remove a long introduction, or so that the piece starts at a particular place. Customers may wish to provide their own MP3 (or similar) files, for example if the deceased person was a musician or singer it may be a recording of themselves, depending on the quality of the recording it may be necessary to edit or clean up these recordings so that they are suitable for playing at the funeral ceremony.
There has been a choice of recorded music for many years and customers and stakeholders are used having this provision; and used to having access to details of the existing library and the facility to order tracks directly through the supplier's web portal.
There is currently no facility to have visual tributes or web services, this is an area identified as being able to improve and will be achieved through this contract.

WDC are seeking a provider of digital music for funeral services and the ability to offer visual tributes. The contract length is 3 years with an extension option of 2 years.

The value of the contract is from £53,000 to approximately £80,000.
