It is anticipated that young people will want their parents/carers involved in the great majority of cases. These two distinct elements may require differing approaches in terms of promotion and service delivery. The scope of the information, advice and support (including advocacy) provided must cover initial concerns or identification of potential SEN or disabilities, through to on-going support and provision, which may include an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) where appropriate and support for service users appealing to Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunals.
