Brief Description of Requirement
Background
Since the UK's EU referendum, BEIS needs more regular monitoring of SMEs' access to finance and other indicators of SME business and trade sentiment, so that BEIS ministers and the Department have an up-to-date understanding and data on how SMEs are faring.
The research we need will be derived from fieldwork associated with an existing survey that is already regularly published at least once a year. This publication must be already up and running and hence by re-using this dataset, we are making use of a pre-existing infrastructure and using data that is readily comparable to an existing time series.
The monthly reports that we procure allow us to monitor SME sentiment and conditions for very little cost and inform officials and ministers if there are any changes in trends, especially if there is anything adverse
The project will provide BEIS with regular monitoring of SMEs' access to finance and other indicators of SME business and trade sentiment, so BEIS ministers and the Department have an up-to-date understanding and data on SMEs' economic and financial situation and appetite to engage in international trade.
Aims and Objectives of the Project
The key deliverables are data in the form of a monthly set of charts/slides, incorporating a key message on each slide and brief explanations/commentaries on the trends and latest figures as appropriate. In the forthcoming contracting period, it is likely that there will be a maximum of 25-30 charts in each monthly report, subject to discussion with the contractor.
The analysis should include analysis and tables on as many of the following topics as possible, as permitted by the parent survey.
Please ensure you review all attached information to ensure a full understanding of this requirement. All attachments can be found with the RFx attachments tab within the Emptoris System.
This contract will be awarded based on the evaluation criteria set out in the ITQ document.
