Description

Reading Council is holding Early Market Engagement events scheduled to take place in October 2018 for the Council's Care and Support at Home services and form part of a proposed procurement.

We are proposing to undertake a competitive tender process under the light touch regime with the intention of setting up a form of a dynamic purchase framework that will enable people accessing services, to have more control over how they want to receive domiciliary care and support at home, now and in the near future. The intended start date for this scheme is 1st October 2019.

The proposed procurement will take into account statutory duties as detailed in the Care Act as well as aspirations to enhance the service through for example better use of technology and commissioning on outcomes

The Council will seek to work with suitably experienced and innovative providers to help transform and improve care and support services and meet the need for home care services within the current national and local context.

At this stage, the Council would like to invite and meet with interested partners to share in our proposed plan.
