Description

The Authority seeks to procure the provision of the DEPRIVATION OF LIBERTY SAFEGUARDS - PAIDPERSONS REPRESENTATIVE SERVICE for Leicester. The service will provide support to a Relevant Personwho has no family or friends who will and are able to act as an appropriate Relevant Persons Representative.A Relevant Person is a person who lacks the capacity to decide upon where to reside and is either beingconsidered or, is already residing within a care/nursing home or hospital, in which their required care ortreatment amounts to a deprivation of liberty.
The contract will span up to 4 years (3+1), to allow a relationship to be built with the provider over the mediumterm to deliver ever more efficient services and to allow for innovation and creativity.
Based on current and known funding allocations, the contract value assigned to this service is estimated to beapproximately £700,000.
