Description

1. To strip, remove and dispose of the asbestos insulation board fire break located in the roof space above block two. Access to be gained by opening up the ceiling to the lobby area and the music room store so as to gain safe and reasonable access. To include the removal and disposal of all the associated contaminated loft insulation. To vacuum, decontaminate and prepare for 4 stage clearance testing.
2. To supply and install 12.5mm fireline plasterboard to replace the firebreak removed in item 1 above. To seal all gaps using intumescent mastic sealant.
3. Also to supply and install new 200mm MMMF loft insulation to replace that removed.
4. To supply and install 12.5mm plasterboard to repair the damage to the ceilings where access needs to be gained to the loft space above. To tape and joint finish and sand ready for decoration. To supply and apply two coats of white emulsion paint.
5.To provide a BCC approved electrician to carry out the necessary disconnection and re-installation of light fittings as required.
