Description
Identify barriers to collaboration between water companies and between water companies and third parties:
1) Conduct a literature review of previous work and build upon this
2) Engage with those involved in water resource planning to identify barriers to collaboration
3) Explain, group and prioritise these barriers
4) Propose approaches to overcome each prioritised barrier
The project will require engagement with experts within and outside the water industry as well as application of expert knowledge to understand and challenge the barriers identified. We will be working closely with the successful contractor who will also report to a broad steering group.
Outputs to include:
Final report that identifies the issues raised, commentary on whether they are real or perceived, their prioritisation and the proposed solutions. Note, this work will feed in to the Environment Agency's water resources national framework and inform reform of the regulatory approach to water resources planning for the next round of water resource management plans.
