Description

In collaboration with Derby City and County Councils, the University of Derby has been awarded European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) funding to address three locally identified needs, identified in the D2N2 Low Carbon Plan:
-Uncertainty over the benefits of some low carbon solutions, and regulation and support mechanisms to encourage the up-take of renewable energy;
-Lack of support capacity in the environmental services sector; and
-Lack of awareness and understanding of the low carbon business base.
This project aims to catalyse local demand and innovation in the Low Carbon Economy by helping Low Carbon Environmental Goods and Services (LCEGS) suppliers to bring new products and services to market that help reduce carbon and other greenhouse gas emission in significant local supply chains.
