Description
Tenders are invited to carry out a review of 'The Future of Meat Production' investigating latest technologies and best practices used globally.
The legislative rules for food of animal origin are set out in Retained Regulation (EC) 853/2004 and although these have been regularly updated, the pace has not necessarily been in parallel with technological developments. This research is a first step in closing that gap with the aim of ensuring that the latest technologies are identified and considered with the potential to enhance UK consumer safety whilst supporting consumer choice and supporting industry innovation.
