Description
The RBWM proposes to relocate the Magnet Leisure Centre to a new site in Braywick Park, creating an indoor and outdoor sports hub for residents of the Borough.
The new Braywick Leisure Centre will continue the Boroughs commitment to providing high quality sport and leisure facilities for its residents.
Braywick Park is a 40 hectare site within the Green Belt to the south of Maidenhead occupying an old reclaimed tip site.
The existing 40 year old building attracts over 800,000 visitors a year; the new building will provide additional facilities in the growth areas of gym and swimming whilst providing a modern, accessible centre meeting current sports standards.
The building project aims to start on site in Spring 2018 with completion in summer 2019.
The Development Manager appointment is the beginning of this project and this tender aims to appoint a Development Manager experienced in the successful delivery of high quality mixed dry and wet sports centres in the £30 million project range.
