Description
The London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH) is seeking expressions of interest from interested organisations for the following services: The council is inviting tenders from creative and forward thinking organisations to undertake activities to organise community-based projects in the borough that will improve community cohesion in Tower Hamlets.
We are looking for creative projects which will engage local people across different groups. Projects do not have to overtly be badged as community cohesion but their methodology should increase engagement and interaction between groups in such a way that increases understanding and connections. Projects should not shy away from facilitating conversations which at times may be 'difficult' and be prepared to face up to potentially controversial issues.
The programme of activities will be split into 8 lots. Each lot will be for a fixed value, 4 lots for £27k each and 4 lots for £10k each, to deliver community cohesion activities. Bidders will able to submit tenders for one or more lots. The lots will be to deliver a community cohesion project in a specific area of the borough as follows:
Lots 1 to 4 are to deliver community cohesion projects to the value of £27k within these wards of the borough:
• Lot 1 - Limehouse; Poplar; Canary Wharf; Blackwall and Cubitt Town; Island Gardens wards
• Lot 2 - Whitechapel; Stepney Green; St Dunstan's; Shadwell; St Katharine's and Wapping wards
• Lot 3 - Weavers; St Peter's; Bethnal Green; Spitalfields and Banglatown wards
• Lot 4 - Bow East; Bow West; Bromley North; Bromley South; Mile End; Lansbury wards.
Lots 5 to 8 are to deliver community cohesion projects to the value of £10k within these wards of the borough
• Lot 5 - Limehouse; Poplar; Canary Wharf; Blackwall and Cubitt Town; Island Gardens wards
• Lot 6 - Whitechapel; Stepney Green; St Dunstan's; Shadwell; St Katharine's and Wapping wards
• Lot 7 - Weavers; St Peter's; Bethnal Green; Spitalfields and Banglatown wards
• Lot 8 - Bow East; Bow West; Bromley North; Bromley South; Mile End; Lansbury wards.
These contracts are expected to commence not later than the 1 September 2017 and are expected to continue for 18 months. This will consist of a 12 month delivery period followed by a report 6 months after the end of delivery to evaluate the impact.
Organisations wishing to express their interest are requested to register on the London Tenders Portal ( www.londontenders.org) where the tender documentation will be available for download. You may be required to complete a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ).
