Description

The contractor shall make provision for temporary and ad hoc staff to support and compliment the in house security team for the university as required. There will not be any time when the contractor is not working alongside the universities in house security team.

The contractor shall be responsible for providing a vigilant, visible, and active presence that shall deter criminal activity on campus alongside the in house team, providing reassurance to legitimate users of the campus. The Contractor shall achieve this through good working practises with the in house team and working to ensure that any events that the contractor are supporting, are delivered safely and securely according to campus policies.

Due to the nature of the security function on campus, the contractor will be required to provide Door Supervisor licenced personnel to work on site, and on a less frequent basis staff members with an SIA CCTV licence, although this requirement is expected to be minimal.
The nature of the work undertaken by the campus team means that they are often working in or near licenced premises, or dealing with the after affects within the residence blocks.
The campus team will also on occasion require assistance with traffic matters but personnel provided for this function must also be licenced to at least Door supervision standards. It would be preferable if the contractor is also able to provide Community Safety Accreditation Scheme staff (CSAS) for some functions.
