Description

Norfolk County Council (NCC) wishes to engage a contractor for the production of bus stop timetable and route information for individual bus stops and transport interchanges across Norfolk. This information is to be provided to NCC to agreed timescales in the form of electronic PDF artwork files. The printing and erection of this information at bus stops and transport interchanges will be managed and delivered separately by NCC and is not therefore part of this tender. Printed bus timetable and route information is currently installed at around 200 bus stops and transport interchanges across Norfolk providing stop-specific route and scheduled departure information. Norfolk County Council wishes to engage a contractor for the production of this information, which is to be provided to NCC to agreed timescales in PDF format. The printing and erection of this information at bus stops and transport interchanges will be managed and delivered separately by NCC and is not therefore part of this tender. Following a change in bus timetable and/or routing, NCC is able to provide the successful contractor with
this information in a range of industry standard electronic formats, including ATCO.CIF and TransXChange. Agreements are in place with transport providers that limit the number of bus stops and transport interchanges that NCC provides bus timetable and route information at, as well as the number of times that NCC refreshes information at these locations. However, the total volume of work is dependent on the number of service changes undertaken by transport operators. The approximate value of the contract is considered to be in the region of around £30,000 per annum. An initial contract duration of 3 years is offered, with the option to extend by a further 4 years, subject to satisfactory performance and funding.
