Description

North Tyneside Council (the 'Authority') is seeking tenders for a Framework for the delivery of both planned and responsive repairs and maintenance to both traditional and non traditional roofs for operational, schools and commercial buildings. The Framework is for an initial period of 2 years with the option to extend for 2 further 12 month periods (potential 4 year contract) at the sole discretion of the Authority..
Scope of Work and Specifications

The Authority intends to have three lots under this framework, Tenderers can apply for a minimum of one Lot, there is no maximum.
• Lot 1 : Planned Traditional Roofing Works
• Lot 2 : Planned Non-Traditional Roofing Works
• Lot 3: Responsive Roofing Repairs (including Traditional and Non-Traditional)
Contractors are able to tender for any combination of the above lots.

The exact nature of the individual works to be undertaken under the Contract, will be detailed at the point of the request notification including detailed scope of works, design documentations, specifications, program dates and pricing documents.
It is anticipated that up to 5 Contractors will be appointed to each lot on the Framework and the operation is fully detailed in the Authority Requirements included in the full Tender Pack.

The Successfully awarded Contractors will be required to work together with North Tyneside Council (the Authority) to drive improvements and support the aims and ambitions of the Contract.

Award Criteria
The full detail's of the award criteria are included in the Tender Documents
The initial contract is for 24 months with two options to extend for up to a further 12 months each after which renewals will be undertaken in accordance with the Authority's contract Standing Orders and at the sole discretion of the Authority and in line with the Authority Requirements for the Framework.
The maximum number of Contractors to be awarded on the Framework per Lot = 5 (five)
Tenderers can apply for a minimum of one Lot, there is no maximum
