The National Aerospace Technology Exploitation Programme is intended to provide an entry point to SMEs who have not previously engaged in the R&T landscape to gain;
• Engagement with an end user to provide expertise and exploitation benefit to the SME through undertaking the R&T activity
• exposure to, and experience in undertaking grant funded industrial development work so that they can progress through the available support mechanisms.
The scope outlined within this RFP is intended to deliver the aspects of the SME engagement, development and support that are unique to the National Aerospace Technology Exploitation Programme.
The contract shall be 48 months in duration and cover the necessary engagement and development of consortia and projects to support 4 calls for proposals staggered at approximately 6 month intervals. Each call will result in circa 18 funded projects. Support shall be provided to the successfully funded projects throughout the project duration, and shall also include providing the necessary evidence to BEIS, Innovate UK and the ATI to support the decision and shaping of the remaining calls and future programme / interventions.
The budget expected to deliver the service detailed herein over 48 months is expected range of £2.9m to £3.3m, but must not exceed £3.7m; including VAT. The contract will be for a 48 month duration, with 2 options to extend for a period of 12 months each, 10
therefore the total potential opportunity is 48+12+12 months. The value of the total potential opportunity over 72 months is estimated at around £5.8M; including VAT.
