Description

This project aims to better understand the needs of pre-entry and entry level one ESOL learners and how practitioners in the post-16 Further Education and Skills sector can effectively support these needs to improve literacy and numeracy levels. It will take into account all settings, including the offender learning sector, volunteering organisations, third sector organisations, refugee networks as well as informal learning set-ups like community cafes. We envisage a short, comprehensive study engaging practitioners, volunteers and learners to provide the evidence supporting any guidance and resource development. All development should be underpinned by the framework of the ETF Professional Standards.
The successful tenderer(s) will be required to engage with the extended post-16 sector, including refugee support organisations, prison settings, community and family support networks.
This tender has been divided into two strands:
Strand 1 - Research
Strand 2 - Resource Development
