This project is designed to support some of the most vulnerable individuals who may not otherwise be in a position to purchase clothing suitable for interview. The overall objectives of the project are to: 1. Work with the individuals referred from the ESF Pathways Programme to provide suitable interview clothing. 2. Provide advice to people referred by Sheffield ESF Pathways covering the basics of personal presentation, body language, and dress codes. Target Group • Individuals, who are out of work and are being supported through the Sheffield ESF Pathways Programme to find work, but do not have or are not able to afford suitable interview clothing. The aim of the project is to provide wrap around support by way of interview clothing and advise on self-presentation. The first thirty seconds of a job interview are critical as employers make up their mind about candidates very quickly so it's important that that they feel confident in their appearance which helps them perform well thus increasing their chances of success. The successful bidder will provide a welcoming friendly environment where clients come in for a styling session and are given a suit, shirt tie or skirt & blouse and shoes as well as some thoughtful advice, and if needed interview training skills. A client's appointment will last up to an hour. The provider will help them to find good quality interview clothing that fits well and looks great and clients and provider work together to find the right accessories. The service is free and they get to keep the clothes. The service is an important step in helping men and women back into work.
