Health Education England are putting out this notice as a VEAT (Voluntary Ex anti Transparency Notice with a view to completing a Direct Award to The University Of Birmingham

The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal.

As part of the initial commission, UoB were required to provide a range of information and knowledge services and resources appropriate to the information needs and ways of working of up to 70 Public Health Specialty Registrars in the West Midlands. These services are required to be managed by a professionally qualified Librarian.
They are seeking additional funding to support any future learning and are currently delivering these services even though their current contract has expired.
Rationale for direct award

The Part B examination is held four times a year. It consists of six eight-minute stations. To help prepare local registrars for the examination, mock examinations are held twice a year. These examinations are only held at the University of Birmingham, are recognised nationally and are organised by local registrars, together with input from Educational Supervisors
