Description

Tyne & Wear Building Preservation Trust are a small dynamic charity based in Tyneside and have a 99 year lease on a plot of land close to Dunston Staiths.

The project is the resurfacing of small 25 space car park with tarmac, bodmat or grasscrete in Dunston, Gateshead, Tyne & Wear. The work is programmed to take place January to March 2025. There are also some foundations, utility connections and planting to be included that are linked to a later stage of work to install a small container facility.

Proposals were subject to a planning approval DC/22/00720/FUL from Gateshead Council and TWBPT are in the process of meeting all Conditions. The one requirement from the successful contractor will be a Construction Management Plan.

Interested contractors should respond to Martin Hulse martin@twbpt.org.uk with two case studies of similar projects including references from clients by the 3rd December. They should confirm that they have the ability to meet the timescales of the project.

It is envisaged that 6 contractors will be selected to receive the full schedule of works on 3rd December with a return date of 1pm on the 18th December. The objective is to start work in mid January 2025 following submission of the Construction Management Plan.
