Description

We have had three emergency repairs that have been needed to be undertaken at short notice at Fort Cumberland,

These are:
Due to age and condition of the electrical installation at Fort Cumberland some of the below ground cables supplying power to external lights and workspaces have been leaking to earth and blowing 100A fuses. The installation was condemned as unsafe by Historic England's Principal Building Services Engineer. We have therefore had to run two new SWA cables between supplies and decommission the old supply cable.
