Description

The Authority is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to enter into a Contract for the delivery of New Changing Places Modular units at Whitley Park Lodge and Low Lights Car Park, North Shields to assist with the delivery of the Authority's capital investment plan.

Commencement of the Works are currently proposed to be January 2023, subject to instruction from the client, due to funding the Changing Places Units MUST be installed by 31 March 2023.

The design/specification of two Changing Places units which are to be installed and fabricated in accordance with the "Changing Places: The Practical Guide" British Standard. The units are to be a minimum of 3m wide x 4m long, with a ceiling height of 2.4m. They should be complete with sanitaryware provisions, hoists and changing equipment.

This Contract will ensure availability a skilled Contractor to deliver the Works requiring differing values and complexities as required for the Contract. The successfully awarded Contractor will be required to work together with North Tyneside Council (the Authority) to drive improvements and support the aims and ambitions of the Contract. The Authority and their representatives will be Employer and Principal Contractor. The winning Contractor will be a Contractor. Contract Duration
The initial contract is for ## months with an option to extend for up to a further ## months after which renewals will be undertaken in accordance with the Authority's contract Standing Orders and at the sole discretion of the Authority.
