Description

Kilnbridge have secured the HS2 Old Oak Common Station Works Package WP10.2 for construction of the Headhouses and Ancillary Buildings. Part of the scope requires the construction of external and internal blockwork to numerous station buildings.

• Euston North Portal
• Cycle Hub

Works include blockwork walls of varying thickness and grades, wind posts, vertical and horizontal restraint details, masonry support angles, wall ties, bed reinforcement, cavity trays, joints, fire sealant and all ancillary items where required. This includes detailing all openings including additional supports around the openings. Works will also include mock ups, samples and quality benchmarks as well as requiring potential development of nonstandard blocks to deliver the project requirements.

Blockwork Subsubcontract works includes the provision of all necessary People, Equipment, Plant and Materials for the construction of the buildings external & internal blockwork.

The Subsubcontractor will be responsible for progressing the RIBA stage 4 design to Stage 5 for construction .This will require submission to, and approval from, the Subcontractor, Contractor, the Contractor's representatives and the Employer to ensure the provided Subsubcontractors design satisfies the intent prior to construction. All in accordance with the Contractors design procedure and technical assurance requirements.

The scope also includes the design, supply, installation, management and removal of temporary works required to execute the subsubcontract works.
Quantity of blockwork CIRCA 5100m2.

Expected Subsubcontract award Jan 25

Construction is to be carried out over a 3 year period commencing in Q3 2025 and completing in late Q2 2028. Multiple visits will be required over this period.
