Description

Birmingham City Council (The Council) wishes to invite suitably experienced and qualified consultants to undertake a Sustainability Appraisal (SA) and Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) of the Birmingham Development Plan Update in accordance with the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and national guidance contained in the Planning Practice Guidance (PPG). This will form an integral part of the evidence base to underpin the new Local Plan.

The successful consultant will need to keep up to date with changing circumstances as the Government implements proposals in the Planning for the Future White Paper and be flexible in terms of working with potential changes to national requirements.
