Description

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and BeFirst are pleased to invite you to tender for the conversion of current changing rooms into a new gym through an open tender process. The procurement strategy being adopted for this project is a single-stage traditional procurement route. In accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended), Tenderers are invited to submit a Single Stage Traditional Tender for the carrying out of the Works as further described in this Invitation to Tender. Words and expressions have the meanings used in the Invitation to Tender.

The works comprise internal refurbishment, remodelling and alterations inclusive of the raising of the ceiling height within boxing gym area, installation of a mezzanine floor and staircase and the construction of two new extensions to the building.

The successful Contractor will be appointed under the JCT Intermediate Building Contract with Contractors Design 2016 (ICD 16) as amended by the Employers Special Conditions the Contractor must be both willing and capable of controlling the design development and construction phases to ensure that the project is completed.
