Description
The Authority is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to enter into a framework agreement (Framework) for the delivery of its Minor Building Works, which includes both planned and responsive repairs and maintenance for operational, schools and commercial buildings. The Framework is for an initial period of 2 years with the option to extend for 2 further 12 month periods.
The Authority will be the Principal Contractor and the successful Framework Contractor(s) will be acting as Sub Contractor to The Authority. Contractors should note there is a responsive and planned element to this framework and suppliers are expected to be able to provide both elements of the service. For responsive, suppliers will be approached in rank order, and for planned works all work will be subject to a mini competition.
The Works to be provided by the Contractor comprises of the delivery of planned project work within the Authority's non-residential buildings within the Borough of North Tyneside.
The works required under this Framework can include, but not limited to:
• Extensions to Existing Premises
• Remodelling of Existing Premises
• Refurbishments of Existing Premises
• Maintenance Works to the building fabric and finishes
• Repairs to the building structure
• Minor External Works
• Minor Ground Works and Landscaping
• Production of "As Fitted" installation

Contract Duration
The initial contract is for 24 months with an option to extend for up to a further 2 x 12 months after which renewals will be undertaken in accordance with the Authority's contract Standing Orders and at the sole discretion of the Authority.
