Description

Wakefield Council is looking to commission a Creative Programme Producer to support the delivery of Crossings & Gateways, a programme of public art commissioning which will be a key strand of Our Year - Wakefield District 2024.

It is our ambition to deliver public art projects in towns and our city centre and communities across the district, with a focus primarily on 2D commissions (e.g. murals and other flat decorative interventions) rather than 3D commissions (e.g. sculptures). The programme will enable communities to improve their lives and local area by growing a sense of pride of place and celebration. We also aim, wherever possible, to commission artists from the Wakefield District and the wider West Yorkshire region to deliver the completed commissions.

As referred to in the specification, the requirement in Ossett (Butcher's Wall) is subject to approval. However should agreement not be reached, an alternative location will be selected by the Council, and the requirement from the Producer (the delivery of a mural at an identified location) will be the same.

The Procurement opportunity is accessible via:

https://uk.eu-supply.com/login.asp?B=UK

New suppliers will have to register to the procurement portal (this is free of charge). Once you have registered and created your log in, you can access all live opportunities that are available within YORtender via the search function.
