Description

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council seeks to appoint an experienced consulting engineer, under a concession arrangement, to undertake and support The Council's programme of highway street works inspections and provide ancillary services associated with works undertaken on the public highway by third parties, under powers contained within the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and of the Councils own promoted works aimed at ensuring parity of application for Sandwell's permit scheme. With the implementation of the Council's Permit Scheme, highway inspections will ensure compliance with The Council's Permit Scheme and ensure specific conditions included within any permit granted are implemented and adhered to.
