Description

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office undertook a global data collection exercise in 2016 which, for the first time, gathered data from our Posts across the Network and used salary benchmarking suppliers to compare this data against the local market and generate reports. This is the first time that our Human Resources Directorate centrally managed Local Staff salary benchmarking. The reports provided an overview of Local Staff pay across the Network, which enabled us to compare salaries by region in order to understand where the pressure points/problem areas are.
We want to maintain this strategic overview by moving to an annual data collection exercise. This will involve benchmarking local salaries in every Post, as far as possible, against comparator organisation in their local market each year. To facilitate this, we require a global benchmarking contract which will give us a consistent Network-wide overview of Local Staff pay.
