Description
Objectives and Outcomes
To understand the solutions available on the market to create a virtual day services platform suited to adults 18+ with a range of low-complex learning disabilities, and their carers.
Design and create (taking steer from the pre-existing platform 'Our Place') an interactive and social day services virtual platform, that is accessible via browser and/or mobile app.
This platform must be user friendly, accessible and inclusive as the intended audience require services that are straight forward and easy to navigate, to ensure maximum engagement.
Involve educational/informative, fun and social aspects, with both individualistic and collective interactive elements.
Ideally include or integrate with 'live' video calling sessions that are interactive and allow service users to gain key social interaction and develop new skills. Sessions would be led by day service staff and specialist external guest leaders.
The aim is for the platform to be available to service users as soon as possible with continual development a possibility.
As an outcome we hope that our service users have fun, get creative, get active and feel a part of a social network that is able to exist in-person and virtually for ease of access.
