Description

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is inviting quotations for the refurbishment of its pavilion at Calverley Grounds.

The existing facility, located in Calverley Grounds, has previously functioned as a bowls pavilion. The building is well regarded by local residents and local groups such as Friends of Calverley Grounds, and the former bowling green is being converted into an outdoor play area as a separate project.

The proposed works to the pavilion are to enable future use in close proximity to the new play area. The exact use of the pavilion is not defined prior to the issue of this tender, hence the specification and pricing options are intended to be obtained in order to suit the brief when eventually defined, which will be confirmed before commencement on site.

The current potential options include:
• Pavilion and occasional use as 'space for hire'
• Café
• Storage facility
• Public Toilet
• Use by local interest groups or clubs
