Description

There are currently 21nr sites across Stoke-on-Trent that require fire alarm and/or smoke extraction system upgrades or replacements. Specification and material prices have already been pre-approved and agreed by 'Protec Fire Detection Plc' and this tender will be for the installation of these systems and all associated builders work, containment, fire stopping etc. It is highly probable that more than one contractor will be required to carry out these works due to the tight programme requirements, as a consequence addresses will be allocated, subject to the resource availability, initially to the contractor offering the best value for money and with the best tender return score, once this resource has been exhausted the contractor offering the next best offer will be approached and further address allocated, and so on until all of the works have been allocated. The order for the works to the successful contractor will be placed using the JCT Minor Works 2016 form of contract unless otherwise notified. There is no guarantee any contractor will be successful with their bid for all, or any of the works being tendered. There are 21 sites available on the excel workbook attached to the tender documentation, of these Sites 1 and 4 are Public Buildings sites which are not guaranteed to proceed, this will depend upon the cost and the budget available at the Property Services division of Stoke City Council.
