Description
Dear Providers,
Following on from our initial engagement in October 2018, where Dudley Council held an event to bring together: Service Users, Families, Providers and other Stakeholders to gather ideas and to develop services that will be delivered in an innovative way to support people with complex needs.
We are pleased to announce we are about to commence a tender process in July 2019. We would like to invite potential providers to meet with the Commissioning Team to give us the opportunity to update you and for a questions and answers session regarding this tender project.
Information
Dudley MBC are inviting providers with proven experience and specialism in providing domiciliary care and supported living services to people with a learning disability and complex needs. We are particularly keen for as many organisations to attend who may be interested in this tender and who have worked innovatively with people with complex needs and can demonstrate how this has made a meaningful improvement in people's lives.
The service will be tendered in co-production with all stakeholders and will include 'Competitive Dialogue' as part of the tender process. This is an opportunity for inspired innovative organisations to work with Dudley, developing new and exciting ways to meet our customer's individual ambitions and goals.
This may include different payment mechanisms, contract durations and other flexible arrangements.
There is approximately 2700 care and support hours per week for 21 people with learning disabilities and complex needs.
The procurement will be separated into lots that can be broadly categorised as`:
o Complex Needs and Challenging Behaviour
o Complex Physical Health Needs and Profound Learning Disabilities
The services operate from different locations in the Dudley borough, mainly clustered in locations Brierley Hill and Wall Heath with a few people dispersed in the community.
