Description

A total of 6 neonatal therapeutic patient temperature control device (NICU Cooling Units) are being commissioned as replacements for existing equipment for use within the Neonatal Intensive Care Units based at St Michaels Hospital, Bristol and Southmead Hospital. These units are an essential for the functioning of these units and to offer support across the South West NICU critical care network. The essential and desirable criteria and shown below in Annex B3 and must be completed by all suppliers in full. These responses will then be evaluated by the trust clinical team to define suitability. If any of the essential criteria is not met by the bidder then their bid will be rejected. If required the trust reserve the right to request all bidders who meet the essential criteria to undertake a full clinical trial at St Michaels Hospital, Bristol and Southmead Hospital at a date to be confirmed by mutual agreement prior to . Any supplier who is unable to meet this requirement may be excluded from the tender process.
Additionally, the trust require also require costs for extended warranty for up to 5 years following the expiry of the initial warranty period and costs for consumables which are required for the operation of the equipment, with costs fixed for a minimum of 12 months, but preferably 48 months with a annual review meeting thereafter.
The trusts would also request that suppliers complete a cost per patient for treatment with a breakdown to support this figure. This figure will be used to complete whole life costings based on an estimate of 3 patients per, per month to give an annual whole life cost.
