Description

Delivery of high quality extended pharmacy services including all Essential and Advanced services throughout all core and extended opening hours.

The pharmacy functions as a central pharmacy hub providing pharmaceutical, health and social care critical back up and system support.

Patients and public should be able to use the pharmacy as a first port of call, reducing inappropriate attendance at other acute care settings e.g. Accident and Emergency, Sheffield Walk in Centre (WIC), the GP collaborative.

Working flexibly with local agencies to support to people experiencing health inequalities, with considered provision that is inclusive and accessible to all individuals and population groups.

Participate in and provide assurance to the commissioner that routine and extraordinary medicines risks are being effectively managed throughout the service hours within the scope available to the service provider.

To provide an innovative and agile model of health care in all hours, responding particularly to the urgent care needs of patients.


The Contract will be for a term of two years with the opportunity to extend for one year subject to mutual agreement between the successful Bidder and the Authority. The maximum term of Contract is consequently three years.

The maximum annual spend is £275,000
