Description

Amber Valley Borough Council (AVBC) is seeking to engage and appoint a Chartered Surveying Consultancy to undertake a full and comprehensive stock condition survey (SCS) of its diverse property portfolio for a fixed price. The buildings numbering approximately 100 include, the Councils main Office Headquarters, listed buildings, Park changing rooms, Depots, garages and industrial units.

The SCS shall comprise a systematic, uniform and objective basis for the gathering of condition information of all exposed and accessible parts of the buildings.
in terms of structure and building fabric. The approach should not only identify which items/elements are fit for purpose, but also those which are not. Where defects are identified and repairs required, building estimates need to be provided. The approach is to be thorough and enable the client to confirm that no items have simply been missed. AVBC will assist with access arrangements and coordination of the survey.
The survey findings need to be produced in an Excel user friendly electronic format, so the data can be easily inputted into the Councils IT systems.

The minimum levels of insurance required are:

Public Liability: £5 million

Professional Indemnity: £2 million

In addition to their fixed priced quote, bidders will need to supply 2 references of similar works undertaken and express in no more than 500 words why they believe AVBC should select them, what added value they can bring to the above and what relevant credentials they have.

The evaluation criteria for the above will be based on 30% quality and 70% price.

It is anticipated the SCS will commence from mid-February 2018.

The winning bidder will be required to complete the SCS before the end of March 2018.

A property list for pricing purposes will be provided to suitable suppliers that meet the above description by submitting an expression of interest -via email- from 11th December 2017 to noon on the 22nd December 2017.

Bids will need to be returned via email by 12.00 noon Friday 26th January 2018.
