Description
The Google Digital Garage project is part of Google's commitment to provide free digital skills training to everyone across the UK. It is a place where anyone can come and learn how to harness the power of the internet to grow their business, develop new vocational skills or grow their confidence online. Google Digital Garage offers a wide range of courses from beginner to intermediate levels meaning that anyone can come and take part.
There has been high demand for training at the Google Digital Garage but not everyone can make it to Birmingham. Digital Birmingham, part of Birmingham City Council is working with Google Digital Garage to develop an outreach programme that will target key stakeholders and specific local communities and audiences with digital training events during January - June 2018.
We are seeking an experienced partnership and engagement manager / organisation to develop an outreach programme of events and activities. Working with Digital Birmingham, they will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with relevant local service providers, charities and organisations; and encouraging these organisations to run training sessions for their beneficiaries (to be delivered by Google Garage).
