Description
Existing building of the Management School constructed c. 1975 will undergo a full refurbishment and remodelling. This includes new roof, windows and M&E as a minimum. This will include expansion and relocation of the existing café outlet and provision of new café offer.
Lancaster Leadership Centre constructed c 2005 will undergo light refurbishment works based on its current condition.
There is an element of new build and forming of a new east entrance to improve circulation and more effectively link the 2 existing buildings.
Intended tender method: The University will publish documents 04.10.19 (target) inviting formal Expressions Of Interest (EOI) in the project before running a Closed Tender.
The Closed Tender (with 4 or 5 contractors TBC) will run across January 2020 to March 2020 (8 weeks); on the basis of RIBA Stage 4 design information, utilising a JCT Standard Build Contract (2016) and Lancaster University's Special Conditions
The University is keen to receive feedback against this Early Opportunity Notice - and the proposed tender method in particular by 19th July 2019; before the procurement strategy is agreed.
