Description

Mole Valley District Council is seeking to appoint a Technical Transport and Highways Consultant for the Leatherhead High Street Feasibility Study. The aim of the Leatherhead High Street Feasibility Study is to assess and propose short and long term options to improve the vitality of High Street with the key objective being increased and retained footfall as well as improving highway safety for all the different types of users. Measures may include options to open High Street to general traffic movements during the day, changes to formalise parking arrangements or to fully pedestrianise the High Street. Servicing and delivery arrangements will need to be considered for the existing units and for the long term regeneration of the town centre.
In partnership with Surrey County Council, Coast2Capital, The Environment Agency and a number of other partners Leatherhead is being transformed into a modern market town. The Transform Leatherhead Project is a long term project over the next 10-15 years.
