Description

The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse was set up to consider the extent to which state and non-state institutions have failed in their duty of care to protect children from sexual abuse and exploitation.
As part of its work the Inquiry is required to consider the experience of victims and survivors of child sexual abuse, providing opportunities for them to bear witness to the Inquiry and having regard to the need to provide appropriate support in doing so.

The procurement will seek to secure the provision of an organisation(s) to provide support for victims and survivors who wish to share their experiences with the Inquiry through the Truth Project. It is expected that this will be a fully managed service by the primary supplier(s) who will provide appropriate recruitment, management and support of the required support worker staff. IICSA will work extensively with the market in the coming weeks, in order to develop a fully detailed, fit for purpose statement of requirements.

The purpose of this Prior Information Notice is to;

1. Give advance notice that the Contracting Authority is to consider undertaking a tendering exercise for the provision of emotional and psychological support to victims, survivors, witnesses and members of the public who engage with the Inquiry in its activities.

2. Gauge the market interest in this procurement.

3. Identify suppliers who would like to participate in this procurement and associated market engagement activity, which will be in the form of a supplier questionnaire and later a market engagement event (to be held on the 19.10.2017, at a location to be confirmed).

The questionnaire will be supported by a short outline brief of the requirements and shall be issued to all suppliers who have expressed an interest in this opportunity.
