Description
Inviting Expression of interest from kennelling contractors. Deadline to express an interest is 12:00 hours on 13 September, 2019.
We are inviting expressions of interest to provide a service for the collection and kennelling of stray dogs in West Suffolk.
We wish to enter into a 5 year contract, with an option to extend for a further 2 years to begin in October 2019
The service should run from 8.30am - 9.00pm 7 days a week including bank holidays, we will not require a service on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Day.
Kennel facilities must be within 40 miles of the furthest point in the West Suffolk area.
The provider needs to be able to collect stray dogs, have suitable transport to safety and securely transport those dogs, have adequate kennelling facilities and hold a current licence from their local authority. There is an expectation to re-home stray dogs, therefore you must also have the facilities to re-home any dogs, which remain un-claimed, to suitable new owners making sure the relevant checks are undertaken.
The provider needs to have the facility to take payment from the general public including accepting the money owed to the Council, and to have the facility to invoice the Council accordingly.
The provider must be able to scan all dogs collected and be able to attempt to contact the dogs registered owner. Any difficulties in contacting need to be reported back to the Council.
The provider must have access to e-mail and be able to update the local authority as required. A website where collected dogs can be posted is also necessary.
This opportunity is available in the `Current Tenders` area of Suffolk Sourcing portal. Interested parties are invited to express their interest through the system.
