Description
MDDC is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified contractor to deliver the replacement glazed window pane programme at numerous Council houses within Mid Devon during the financial years from 2019-2022 The aim is to renew the defective double glazed units to match the glazing within the existing windows. The glazing is to have an insurance backed guarantee from the manufacturer for at least 5 years The Contract shall be awarded for three years, starting during April 2019 and terminating on the 31 March 2022. The works will be carried out in three phases, starting and completing as follows. Phase 1 Start 16 May 2019 Completion 31 March 2020 Phase 2 Start 1 April 2020 Completion 31 March 2021 Phase 3 Start 1 April 2021 Completion 31 March 2022 Doors will not Form Part of the Works It must be ensured that all window fitting operations carried out to any one particular property or residential unit must be undertaken within one working day with all apertures left exposed for the minimum amount of time. On no account shall windows be removed requiring properties to be insecure or lack of weather tightness during nightfall.
