Description

Berkeley Park is a Council owned general needs temporary accommodation facility for homeless households located within the London Borough of Hillingdon on the outskirts of Heathrow Airport. The accommodation comprises of 43 self contained units, providing a total of 169 bed spaces. All self contained units are currently fully furnished.

As part of the day to day operation of this facility the Council will retain a number of key functions including; repairs and maintenance, rent setting and collection, identification and placement of homeless households, grounds maintenance and specific fire safety and health & safety compliance responsibilities. Under this specification the Council is looking to enter into a partnership with a provider who will take on the day to day management of the facility. This includes the provision of a 'front of house' service, forming and maintaining supportive relationships with residents, ensuring compliance with the terms of the occupation agreement, providing cleaning and care taking services and supporting the Council in ensuring maximum utilisation of all Managed Property.

The Service Provider is expected to have cost effective purchasing arrangements in place to replace any specified furniture, furnishings and appliances as part of ensuring maximum utilisation of the facility. Replacement costs will be reimbursed by the Council under the terms of the contract.

The management contract is for two years with an option to extend for a further one year by agreement.
