Description
Medway Council invites quotations for the provision of a Health and Wellbeing Survey field research service.
National surveys provide information on a range of health states and risk factors, such as smoking prevalence, adult obesity, well-being, etc. at local authority level that are useful in informing overall health and wellbeing priorities for a health and wellbeing board, council and public health team. Within an area such as Medway there can be considerable variation and to support taking a proportional approach to efforts to improve health and wellbeing it is important to understand that variation. National surveys that provide data at local authority level tend not to be designed to provide estimates for areas within a local authority.
The aim of this survey is to provide within-Medway estimates of key health states and risk factors. This will be an epidemiological survey and not insights research.
Medway Council are seeking to commission a lead provider to complete the face to face data collection stage and provide input to the survey design stage
The lead provider will be required to visit the home address of all residents that do not complete the survey via the online platform, inviting them to participate, working from a prescribed list of names and addresses provided by the Public Health team
Data collection will need to start in October 2021
