Description

Derbyshire Student Residences Ltd (DSRL) are a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Derby. DSRL operate 10 student accommodation sites with 9 in Derby and 1 in Buxton. The internet services for these sites serve c. 2 800 students each year and need to be fast, reliable, secure and able to cope with the academic and social demands of young people now and into the future.

Our sites range from 423 bed spaces to as small as 60 bed spaces and are typically cluster flats but with small numbers of apartments. Students typically utilise Wi-Fi greatly through multiple devices so great Wi-Fi coverage is a necessity, but wired connections are also required and well used. Outside of the traditional student lets we also require our partners in this project to support connectivity of site facilities such as access systems and laundry.
