Description

Compton Parish Council currently has a mixture of 35W SOX, 70W SON, 250W SON and LED streetlights. There is a mixture of aluminium, steel and concrete columns, pole brackets and wall brackets. Compton Parish Council invites you to quote for the following works to upgrade all lights that have not already been upgraded to LED, totalling 60 streetlights, and the installation of one additional light.
The following documents are attached:
• Full lighting inventory of lights owned by CPC (including those not to be replaced)
• A map of all lights owned by CPC (including those not to be replaced)
• A map of the location of a new light to be installed

The objectives of this scheme are to:
• Minimise electricity usage (whilst maintaining existing light levels)
• Minimise ongoing maintenance costs
• Minimise capital payback period

Requirements of Contract
CPC asks that any contractor wishing to carry out these works provide as much information as possible to evidence how they will help achieve these objectives, to include the information requested below.
• A visual inspection will be required for all lights requiring upgrade to LED. A recommendation for each of these lights should be supplied
• It should be noted that the four 250W SON lights in the Village Hall car park are flood lights
• A new streetlight should be installed on the corner of Newbury Lane and the High Street subject to consultation with residents and the relevant permissions being gained. An additional map has been included to show its required position
• Removal and disposal of existing non-LED lanterns
• Warranty period for all supplies
• Expected lifetime for all supplies
• Capital cost for each light
• Running cost for new lights
• Details of all safety standards for materials and works
• Details of works including time to complete

Health & Safety Requirements
• A copy of your certificate of public liability insurance must be submitted with your quote
• A copy of your company's Health and Safety policy must be submitted along with your quote
• A copy of your risk assessment and method statement must be submitted prior to beginning work

Timescales for Installation
The timescale for installation is to be agreed between the preferred contractor and CPC. Please provide an outline of your timescales for delivery of the project.

Payment
Payment for the works will be made on completion of the contract or at agreed stages of the contract.

Evaluation & Awarding of Contract
The contract will be awarded to the company that complies with all written requirements, has satisfactory references and offers the best value for money. Warranties and aftersales service will also be assessed.
