Description

The Councils Open Spaces team provide grounds maintenance and horticultural services to all of the Councils parkland, recreational and residential areas, and employs in excess of 45 staff. The team are based at the Westpark Depot, Chelston, Wellington TA21 9AD. T

It is essential that the plant and equipment used to support the teams operations is maintained in an excellent condition and at the optimal cost to ensure its contractual commitments are met in the most efficient manner.
Until 2018 the maintenance of the plant and equipment required to support the open spaces team was managed in-house. Following a successful trial the Council now wishes to procure an external contractor to provide a maintenance and repair service at the Westpark Depot site.

Summary of Requirements,

1.The provision of an experienced, proactive Labour Resource for an average of 37 hours per week (excluding Bank Holidays)
2.The Labour Resource will be based onsite at the Westpark depot working solely on the Councils plant and equipment
3.Flexibility in the provision of the Service to provide for a responsive services outside of the core hours
4.The scheduling and delivery of planned and responsive repair and maintenance to all plant and equipment
5.The offsite repair, recovery and return of plant and equipment
6.The ordering of parts and materials

The Contract will be for an initial 36 month period, capable of extension for a further 2 x 12 month periods.
