Description

In support of what the MTR Elizabeth line have been delivering, on behalf of Transport for London (TfL), a programme of remodelling and upgrading many of the existing surface stations on the route in order to provide an improved passenger experience and create a unified look and feel for the Elizabeth line. These improvements comprised of ticket hall reconfiguration and refurbishment, external building restoration and platform infrastructure improvements.

MTR are looking to deliver an additional work bank on behalf of Rail for London Infrastructure (RfLI) in 2022. These works will consist of: reconstructing staircases including installing new treads and handrails; footbridge repairs; replacing drainage systems (on platforms and buildings) and the installation of new fire systems.


MTR is seeking a multi-disciplinary supplier to provide design support for the above projects and any other projects undertaken on and around the Elizabeth line for the improvement to our facilities on our behalf or other third parties.
MTR may require some or all of the following disciplines:

• Architectural
• Structural
• Mechanical & Electrical
• Telecoms / SISS
• Temporary Works
• Earthing and Bonding
• Cost Estimating
• Surveying

In July 2014 MTR Corporation (Crossrail) Limited ("MTR Crossrail") was awarded the concession to operate the new Crossrail services across London by Transport for London (TfL). MTR Crossrail is running train services and stations with an eight year contract that can be extended to ten years. On the 31 May 2015 MTR Crossrail commenced TfL Rail services over the 14 stations between Shenfield and Liverpool Street under the TfL Rail brand. Eventually over 700 timetabled services per weekday will operate as the Elizabeth line. These services will be formed of nine-car trains and will run at frequencies up to 24 trains per hour in each direction throughout the central tunnel section.
