Description

The Works to be carried out under this Contract are located throughout the County of Worcestershire.

The Works consist of transportation and highway infrastructure improvements and structures projects. The contractor may be required to design and construct or solely construct.

Examples of works includes (but is not limited to):

o Junction improvements
o Railway station enhancements and other railway infrastructure
o Cycle ways
o Corridor improvements
o Public realm enhancements
o New road construction
o Retaining wall construction & maintenance
o Bridge maintenance and construction (all types)
o Masonry repairs

Individual projects are anticipated to be in the range: ?25,000 to ?10m.

The Council wishes to emphasise the mix of work described by the above list, and anticipated value range. It should also be noted that the programme of works is not currently fixed, and this may lead to variability in workload through this contract.

Annual budgets are variable and not guaranteed, being dependent upon on availability of funding.

The contract is under NEC4 ECC Option C target cost arrangements for a duration of four years with the potential to extend for up to a further three years, dependent upon performance and value to the Council.
